
I confess -
- Even though I am sticking to my Progresso soup diet for my meals
- I am still sneaking in chocolate whenever the mood strikes
- And that is A LOT lately
- In fact, even just now
- I finished off a bag of chocolate chips
- Not that I ate the whole bag in one sitting
- (More like three)
- But, one time I ate almost a whole package of (cooked) bacon
- Minus the three slices my daughter ate
- And the single slice I left, because I felt guilty for eating so much bacon
- But, that's another story for another Friday Confessional...
- *Ahem* I am supposed to be cutting back on sugar
- And caffeine
- Chocolate has BOTH of those.
- At least chocolate has some redeeming qualities
- It helps elevate your mood
- Lowers your cholesterol
- Lowers your blood pressure
- It's a great antioxidant
- So, as you can clearly see
- They're not just 'empty calories' right?
- (See how I rationalize this?)
- But sadly, they are STILL calories.
- And I just ate far too many calories.
- (But at least it wasn't bacon.)

Haha, I understand about the choc chips lol!! I ate lunch and went to the freezer for a handful (small handful) of them. But they were the dark chocolate ones so that's a plus right? And you're right, at least it wasn't bacon:)

Good for you for consuming antioxidant and protein-rich (bacon has protein, right?). I rationalize like that too...I ate a whole box of Girl Scout Cookies to support my niece...it's to help build her character and self-confidence! Yes, that's it.

And I just learned chocolate can help prevent heart attacks. So, you are just trying to be healthy in the happiest way possible. Besides, beans are vegetables, right, and chocolate comes from a bean, so I think you are alright.
