"Did I Do Thaaat?"

Well, good news and bad news (for me) this morning.


First of all, you all may notice that I finally had a much-needed blog makeover.  Yay!


Jenny at Pink Armchair Designs did a super lovely job on this blog for me.  I really love what she has done!


Now, for the bad news - I think I might have screwed it up a little.  (I dunno.)


I felt a little ambitious yesterday, and started tweaking the HTML with a couple of things.  Things that I was SURE were simple enough; like adding a favicon, a floating navigation bar, and a couple of things to help the search engines crawl this blog.  Little 'meta-typie' things, you know.


It was all working out so well, and I made sure that I saved my template BEFORE each change, like you're supposed to.  And, I also made sure that I previewed each change before I saved them.


Everything looked fine yesterday, and I posted my WW post, viewed the blog one more time before I picked my daughter up from her afternoon class.  All good, right?


Well...


This morning I go to check it again. Low and behold, the title headline is now showing in the background.  What?  Where's the white space that is supposed to be between the post and the background? AND the sidebar is missing!  What the heck?!?!  AND at the end of the posts, where you should see "oder posts" we now have a DEAD END.  


HOLY COW!


Did the Blogger-Boggie Man strike while I was sleeping?


OR...

(Insert Steve Urkel's voice here: "Did I do thaaat?")

OK, so I decided that I would check it all out with different browsers; Firefox, Chrome (which is new to me) and Internet Explorer (which I hate to use) and see what they look like on all three.


Interestingly enough, Firefox is the only browser that seems to load correctly, and it also happens to be the browser that I was working from yesterday.  Hmmm.


Still, I recall that I checked out the blog on all three browsers yesterday, and they loaded fine... Yesterday.


So, what could have transpired between this morning and yesterday afternoon is beyond me.


I went in the edit HTML window and looked for the new code that I pasted in yesterday.  I noticed something strange.  Some of it was still there, but some of it was missing.  


Missing?  How can that be?


*Crickets chirping*


In any event, does this blog look wonky to you right now?  I would hate to think that I crewed up Jenny's lovely handiwork.  Maybe it's just something wrong with these browsers.  

Or, maybe it's the Bloggermeister Meisterblogger!

Can you see the side bar on the right side?  Are the post headlines overlapping the page background?  Or do they fit over the nice pink space around the body of the post?  Can you see a white area in between that pink space and the background?


Has anything like this ever happened to any of you?
